What's new
Every change, dated.
A device you put on stage should tell you what changed before you update it. This is the whole list — additions, fixes, and the things we know are still open. Nothing is left out to look tidy.
All future updates included. No subscription, no upgrade fees. Every update listed here is free for everyone who owns the device, and the newest version is always under My licenses.
Windows23 October 2026
All six plugins now run on Windows
- SPALL, GRUS, SCREE, CAIRN, DREAMS and PHONOLITH now run on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit) as VST3, each with its own installer that puts the plugin where every host looks:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. - The same versions, the same presets and the same sound as on the Mac. A project saved on your Mac opens on your PC with the same settings, and the other way round.
- One serial for both. Already own a plugin? Your Windows download is waiting under My licenses, free, with the serial you already have.
- The ? button in the plugin now tells the bug report form which system you are on.
- The Windows installers are not code-signed yet. The first time you run one, Windows may say “Windows protected your PC” — click More info, then Run anyway.
DREAMS 1.1.015 Oct 2026
An arpeggiator that walks the field, and three new effects
- ARP: a step arpeggiator. UP, DOWN, UP/DN, RANDOM, ORDER and CHORD, one to four octaves, swing, and rates from 1/32 to 1/1 — locked to the bar of your song while the host plays.
- Sixteen steps with four lanes: velocity (a rest at the bottom), gate, pitch (−12 to +12) and ratchets (up to four hits per step).
- FIELD WALK: every arp note can take its own place in the stereo field — swept, bounced, scattered or split.
- FX 2: a stereo flanger, a bank of tuned resonator strings that follows the notes you hold, and tape at the very end of the chain (drive, warble, age — no hiss).
- The echo can now be a true ping-pong: every repeat jumps hard from left to right, both on the beat.
- A new modulation source, ARP STEP: where a note sits in the pattern.
- The presets got a pass: over seventy now play through the arpeggiator, many use the new effects, and most move more than before. Names stayed. After a last listen eleven presets were cut and several were reworked by hand; DREAMS now ships with 249. The presets you can hear on the product page are unchanged.
- Lighter on your CPU: about half the load while you play. HQ is now off live and switches on by itself whenever you bounce or export, so your files still get the cleanest highs. Voices free up sooner after a long release, and when nothing sounds DREAMS sleeps and costs next to nothing.
- Projects and your own presets from 1.0 open and sound as before — everything new starts switched off. (HQ in older projects now follows the new default: off while playing, on for exports.)
Preset update14 October 2026
299 new presets, free for everyone who owns the plugins
- SCREE: 100 new presets, now 238 — almost all of them in motion, with second stages, INJECT and M/S tricks.
- GRUS: 100 new presets, now 244 — grain sequencers, risers, tape stops and rewinds; 98 of the new ones move.
- DREAMS: 99 new presets, now 260 — far beyond pads: leads, basses, plucks, arps, stabs, risers and glitch, every one with its own velocity response.
- They sit in the normal preset browser, sorted into their families, level-matched like the factory presets. Your own presets and stars stay untouched.
- Some of our videos were filmed before this update and still show the old numbers.

CAIRN 1.0.0At launch
First release: real places
- Real places as convolution reverb, zero latency. AU and VST®3 for macOS, Apple silicon and Intel.
- 28 factory presets, level-matched, in the plugin header and in your host’s preset menu.
- A preset browser across the whole window: sound families with counts, search, a star for your favourites, and a small decay curve of the real room on every tile. Click a tile to hear it while the browser stays open.
- Click-free render mode switching: Classic, 3D Speakers and 3D Headphones, also while music plays.
- Smooth automation on every parameter — no zipper noise on the EQ, resonance, morph, bloom or the stage.
- Rooms come out at a similar loudness, so stepping through them no longer jumps in level.
- Much lower CPU load when the host sends small buffers.
- Moving the source on the stage no longer clicks, and MORPH no longer brings back a leftover tail from the second room.
- Offline renders no longer cut off the end of a frozen tail.
- 3D with MORPH at a 128-sample buffer is heavy on the CPU. If you hear dropouts there, a 256-sample buffer helps.
SCREE 1.0.0At launch
First release: four bands, eight ways to break them
- Four bands, eight character units, two stages per band, a feedback injector and an eight-band mid/side EQ. AU and VST3 for macOS.
- 138 presets named for what they do, level-matched, also in your host’s preset menu — most of them use the modulation matrix.
- A modulation matrix behind its own tab: three LFOs (synced from four bars to 1/32, locked to the song position, or free), an envelope follower and eight slots onto 144 controls. A thin violet ring shows every modulated knob.
- A preset browser across the whole window: sound families with counts, search, a star for your favourites, and a small picture on every tile drawn from the preset’s own values. Click a tile to hear it while the browser stays open.
- Eight units that stay themselves: TUBE, TAPE, DIODE, TRAFO and SINE keep their own character all the way to full drive instead of ending in the same square wave. TAPE and TRAFO add warm even harmonics, DIODE keeps the low end tight like a pedal, SINE turns glassy. Far less aliasing, above all from FOLD and RECT.
- ECO and HQ: new instances run one oversampling step lower and need about half the CPU; the HQ switch brings full quality back. Projects from before load in HQ.
- Modulated presets sound the same at every buffer size: the LFOs run on a fixed grid instead of once per host buffer.
- Parallel distortion without holes: WET between 0 and 100 % no longer cancels at the crossover points.
- Click-free switching of units, oversampling, stereo mode and presets. MUTE and SOLO fade instead of cutting.
- TAPE and CRUSH sound the same at every oversampling setting and sample rate.
- No more runaway output at 96 kHz, and no more ringing after the signal stops with INJECT.
- WET at exactly 0 % passes the original untouched.
- Stepping between the two feedback-heavy sound-design pairs (BROKEN SPEAKER to FEEDBACK MONSTER, TOTAL COLLAPSE to WAVEFOLDER) can still jump in level.
GRUS 1.0.0At launch
First release: grains in time and in key
- A granular effect whose grains fall on the host grid and take their pitch from a chord. AU and VST3 for macOS.
- 144 presets in fourteen sound families, level-matched against the dry signal with their modulation running — 136 of them move.
- A modulation matrix behind its own tab next to GRID: four LFOs (synced from four bars to 1/32, locked to the song position, or free), a sixteen-step sequencer you draw, an envelope follower, TIDE (one arc across 1 to 32 bars) and GRAIN, which gives every single grain its own value. Ten slots onto twenty controls; a thin violet ring shows every modulated knob.
- A preset browser across the whole window: sound families with counts, search, a star for your favourites, and a small picture on every tile drawn from the preset’s own values. Click a tile to hear it while the browser stays open.
- With the grains on the grid they now land exactly on your host’s metronome, and a hit in the input comes back on a beat.
- MIX at 100 % is only the grains — DUCK and LOW KEEP no longer bring back the dry signal there.
- Cleaner pitch-up: far less aliasing when grains are transposed upwards.
- Smoother automation of SOURCE, SHIMMER and MORPH, and clean edges on very short grains.
- DUCK brings the dry signal back while the cloud ducks, like a ducked send.
- Changing presets no longer jumps in level.
- WINDOW automation, FREEZE on/off and REPEAT no longer click, and the stretch presets no longer crackle.
- MIX at 0 % is exactly the dry signal.
- A project saved with FREEZE on opens with sound instead of silence.
- METAL sounds the same at 44.1, 48 and 96 kHz.
- FOLD runs without oversampling, so presets with a lot of it sound slightly cleaner at 96 kHz than at 48 kHz.
DREAMS 1.0.0At launch
First release: every voice in its own place
- A pad synthesiser with sixteen voices, each with its own place in the stereo field: position changes brightness, level, detune, grit and how much reaches the echo. AU and VST3 for macOS, Apple silicon and Intel.
- Two layers of analog, FM and wavetable, an eight-stage effect chain and an eight-slot modulation matrix.
- Four velocity slots: play harder and the sound answers. Every preset uses them.
- Every knob glides: turn CUTOFF, ENV AMOUNT, SCREAM, the echo or the reverse while you play, without clicks.
- 161 presets and five scenes in a browser with search and stars.
- Unlocked with the serial from your purchase email, offline. An update notice appears in the plugin when a new version is out.
SPALL 1.0.021 Oct 2026
First release: a glitch buffer that stays on the grid
- A glitch buffer for macOS, AU and VST3, Apple silicon and Intel. The track runs into a 40-second buffer and comes back in slices locked to the host tempo: four bars down to 1/32, repeated, reversed, bent and broken.
- Twenty-six rhythmic effects to paint on a sixteen-step grid — among them FLANGE, SPACE, VOWEL, SHIFT, SPIN UP and LOFI — each with its own DETAIL, plus CHANCE, VARIATION and SWING. Eight pads to hold, each assignable to any effect.
- Nine corrupt modes: DECIMATE, DROPOUT, DESTROY, WOW, SMEAR, CRUMBLE, VINYL, FOLD and OCTAVE.
- SEED and LOCK bring a pattern back exactly, 1 to 8 bars long. Ten modulation slots with four LFOs, SEQ, ENV, TIDE and SLICE, onto thirteen targets. DICE throws modulation too.
- 220 presets in fourteen families, almost all of them moving, in a browser with search and stars.
- $39, part of the bundle.
- Unlocked with the serial from your purchase email, offline. Every future update is free.
OSCILLATE DJ 1.0.021 Oct 2026
First release: four decks inside Ableton Live
- A DJ console that runs entirely inside Ableton Live as a Max for Live device. Every deck is a real audio track; tracks are analysed for tempo, phase and downbeat and locked to Live's grid.
- Two, three or four decks in three views: STANDARD, WAVES and PERFORM. Waveform lanes with bar numbers, cues and loops; per deck CUE, PLAY, eight hotcues, loops from 1/4 to 32 bars, beatjump, nudge, key and keylock.
- A club mixer with a five-band isolator or a classic three-band EQ, a kill on every band, crossfader, your own effect racks on every deck, loop decks for Ableton clips.
- The LIVE channel: load any Live instrument, Drum Rack or plugin and play it with a step sequencer that follows the key of the track — up to 64 steps, Euclidean rhythms, ratchets, eight patterns.
- A library with its own analysis: BPM, key and Camelot, energy and intensity, preview. Outputs for an external mixer: decks A–D and LIVE on their own interface outputs.
- PHONOLITH, our techno synth, is included free, with its own serial in the same purchase email.
- Ableton Live 12.3 or newer (Suite, or Standard with Max for Live), macOS. Live 11 and Live 10: coming soon.
- $69, sold on its own, not part of the plugin bundle. Unlocked with the serial from your purchase email, offline. Every future update is free.
PHONOLITH 3.3.021 Oct 2026 · first release
First release: a techno synth with its own sequencer — now with 303 presets, a 303-style acid bank and PERFORM macros
- A techno performance synth for macOS, AU and VST3, Apple silicon and Intel.
- New in 3.3 · IMPACT pad: replaces the tape stop. Hold it and a noise riser climbs while the low end drains away; let go and the hit lands — a deep boom with a crash, bigger the longer you held. RISE LENGTH sets half a bar to four bars.
- New in 3.3 · six delay pictures: TAPE, DUB and CLEAN are joined by WIDE (different times left and right), SLAP (short slapback in the middle) and SWEEP (every echo lands somewhere else in the stereo field). Presets now use all six, with their own delay times, and sit softer in the mix.
- Changed in 3.3: FREEZE locks the last beat into a loop on the next sixteenth instead of a loose grain cloud. Fills and ratchets never go faster than thirty-second notes — no more rattle at techno tempo. PERFORM B was measured on every preset and remapped where it did too little.
- New in 3.2 · 303 presets: a whole new 303 category with 52 acid lines, from Chicago 1987 to hard acid — slides, accents, squelch, PERFORM A builds the acid, PERFORM B tears it apart.
- New in 3.2 · ACID oscillator, DIODE and SCREAM filters: oscillator A gets a 303-style core (TONE from saw to square, GRIT for the rubbery bend); a diode ladder and the screaming SCREAM filter join the filter list.
- New in 3.2 · trig conditions and MIDI OUT: steps that play only every second pass (1:2), on the third of four (3:4), only in the fill, only on the first pass. The sequencer can send its notes on to any other synth.
- New in 3.2 · DICE SOUND, DRIFT, SPREAD, GLITCH: a new patch in one click, analogue drift per voice, a wider stereo image and a sixteenth-note slice glitch — all three also as PERFORM targets.
- Changed in 3.2: the tape delay sits softer behind the sound, and fills are slower and on the groove: sixteenths that only double up at the very end, triplets as eighth triplets.
- PERFORM A and B: the first two big knobs are performance macros. Each drives up to eight freely chosen targets with its own amount (negative too) and its own start point — one knob moves everything. The other six: FOLD, CUTOFF, ACID, DECAY, SPACE, PUMP.
- Oscillators: oscillator A in ten modes — FM, WAVE (sixteen wavetables), SUPER (seven saws), SYNC, STRING (Karplus) and NOISE, plus the new PERC (kick, tom or zap with pitch drop and click), VOCAL (formant voice, vowels U O A E I) METAL (six squares, 808 style) and ACID (303 style). Its own TONE and GRIT, OCTAVE, FINE and LEVEL; SUB one or two octaves down, sine or square; noise colour. Oscillator B with X-FM, X-RING and SYNC.
- Filters: two filters from ten types, among them DIODE, SCREAM, VOWEL, PHASER and COMB, serial, parallel or split, with audio-rate filter FM and feedback. ACID resonance is now far more aggressive — it screams like a 303.
- Modulation: four LFOs up to audio rate, including CHAOS; two function envelopes in the spirit of Maths; a PATCH page with sixteen cables, each with a VIA source that modulates the modulation.
- New effects: TAPE DELAY (TAPE, DUB ping-pong or CLEAN) with WOBBLE for wow and flutter and DIRT for saturation, hiss and darker repeats — the dub feedback can self-oscillate. Three reverbs to choose from: DARK HALL (warehouse), SPRING (dub tank) and GATED (metallic room). GRAIN (granular smear and freeze, octave shimmer, scatter, backwards), beat-synced REVERSE and a TRANCE GATE with eight patterns. Still there: ring modulator and frequency shifter with barberpole feedback, flanger, chorus, crush and resonator.
- Six pads you hold: FILL, STUTTER and BUILD, plus IMPACT (riser and hit), THROW (dub throw into the tape delay) and FREEZE (beat-locked loop). Fills come in four styles — ROLL, RAMP, TRIPLET, BROKEN — and the filter opens through the fill.
- Sequencer: lanes up to 64 steps, PHRASE from 1 to 256 bars including odd lengths for polymeter, AUTO MUTATE, PHRASE FILL, Euclid, ratchets, parameter locks, eight patterns, MONO or PARA chord stabs. Follows the key of the track inside Oscillate DJ.
- 303 presets in twelve categories — 303, ACID, BASS, STAB, SEQ, PERC, IND, DRONE, FX, LONG, MODULAR, PERFORM — every one with PERFORM A and B already mapped.
- $19, part of the bundle, free with Oscillate DJ.
- Unlocked with the serial from your purchase email, offline. Every future update is free.
TALUS 1.0.0At launch
First release: chords played by two hands
- A MIDI effect for Ableton Live 10, 11 and 12 (Max for Live). GENERATE turns one key into a full chord in your key and scale; HUMANIZE takes the chords you play and plays them like a pianist would.
- The top voice arrives first and loudest, the bass leans in early, inner voices sit back, ghost notes and a roll or strum you can dial from tight to loose.
- MOD on every fader: at 100 % a fader wanders across its whole range, drifting in song tempo or picking a new value for every chord.
- NEXT suggests five chords that fit after the one you played. Click to hear one, then play the key it shows.
- CAPTURE TO CLIP writes the last 1, 2, 4 or 8 bars into a new Session clip, and into the Arrangement when the transport ran.
- Free since 14 October 2026 — the download costs an email address. No serial, no activation, nothing held back. Older copies ask for a serial; download TALUS again and it is gone.
TARN 1.0.0At launch
First release under this number
- A reverb for Ableton Live 10, 11 and 12 (Max for Live). Free, with nothing locked.
- 17 presets: twelve tools and five rooms fitted to the same measurements CAIRN is built from.
- Save your own presets. They live outside the device, so an update cannot overwrite them.
- The presets open in a browser inside the device, sorted by sound, with a small decay line on every tile and a star for your favourites.
