01How do I install an AU or VST3 plugin?
Unzip the download. Copy NAME.component to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ (Audio Unit, for Logic, GarageBand, Live and others) and NAME.vst3 to ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/. The ~/Library folder is hidden: in Finder press Cmd+Shift+G and paste the path. Then rescan plug-ins in your host (Live 12: Settings > Plug-Ins > Rescan). The plugins are universal binaries for Apple silicon and Intel. On Windows: run NAME-Windows-Installer.exe from the download. It puts NAME.vst3 into C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\, the folder every VST3 host scans. Or copy the NAME.vst3 folder there yourself.
02How do I install a Max for Live device?
Unzip the download and keep the folder together - the .amxd file needs the .js files next to it. Put the folder somewhere it stays, for example ~/Music/Ableton/User Library/Presets/Audio Effects/Max Audio Effect/, then drag the .amxd onto a track in Live: TARN onto an audio track, TALUS onto a MIDI track before the instrument, OSCILLATE CUE onto the Main track. OSCILLATE DJ has its own steps in its READ ME: the console goes on the Main track, OSCILLATE DJ ISO on every deck track, and the Remote Script OSCILLATE_DJ goes into ~/Music/Ableton/User Library/Remote Scripts/ and is chosen as a Control Surface in Live > Settings > Link, Tempo & MIDI.
03Where is my serial? I lost it.
Your serial is in the purchase email and on the thank-you page after checkout. Lost it? Open My licenses, enter the email address you bought with, and click the link we send: it opens a page with every serial and every download for 30 minutes. Check your spam folder if nothing arrives. If you no longer have access to that email address, write to [email protected] and we move the licence.
04How do I activate a plugin?
Open the plugin, click ACTIVATE, enter the email address you used at checkout and the serial from your purchase email (for example SCREE-PRO-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). Once is enough: it works offline, on every computer you personally use, no account and no licence server. OSCILLATE DJ: click UNLOCK in the console (or ENTER SERIAL on the device).
05How do updates work? Do they cost anything?
All future updates included - no subscription, no upgrade fees. The plugins check at most once a day whether a newer version exists and show a short note; you can switch that notice off in the plugin. Owners get one short service mail per update. The newest version is always under My licenses. Every change is listed in the changelog.
06Can I get a refund?
Every product is an instant download, so a purchase is final once delivery has started - you agree to that with the tick box before checkout. If a product does not run as described on a supported system, write to [email protected]: we fix it with an update, and if we cannot, you get a full refund. The same goes for an accidental duplicate purchase. Refunds are issued by our reseller Link (a Stripe company). A refunded serial is switched off the next time the plugin checks for updates. 07What are the system requirements?
SPALL, GRUS, SCREE, CAIRN, DREAMS and PHONOLITH: macOS 11 or newer (Apple silicon and Intel, AU and VST3) and Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit (VST3). OSCILLATE DJ: Ableton Live 12.3 or newer (Suite, or Standard with Max for Live), macOS; Live 11 and Live 10: coming soon. TARN: Ableton Live 10, 11 or 12 with Max for Live. TALUS and OSCILLATE CUE: Ableton Live 10.1 or newer with Max for Live.
08Apple silicon or Intel?
Both. Every plugin is a universal binary that runs natively on Apple silicon (M1 and later) and on Intel Macs - no Rosetta needed.
09Is there a Windows version?
Yes. SPALL, GRUS, SCREE, CAIRN, DREAMS and PHONOLITH run on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit) as VST3. One serial works on your Mac and your PC. After checkout - and any time under My licenses - you pick the macOS or the Windows download. OSCILLATE DJ is sold for macOS. There is no Linux version.
10Which Ableton Live versions do the Max for Live devices need?
All Max for Live devices need Live with Max for Live: Live Suite, or Live Standard with the Max for Live add-on. OSCILLATE DJ needs Live 12.3 or newer; Live 11 and Live 10: coming soon. TARN runs in Live 10, 11 and 12; TALUS and OSCILLATE CUE need Live 10.1 or newer. The AU/VST3 plugins work in any host that loads AU or VST3, Live included.
11The plugin does not show up in my DAW.
First check the files are in the right folders: NAME.component in ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ and NAME.vst3 in ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/. Then rescan: in Live 12 Settings > Plug-Ins > Rescan (Audio Units and the VST3 system folders must be switched on there). Logic Pro validates Audio Units before showing them: open Logic Pro > Settings > Plug-in Manager, select the plugin and click 'Reset & Rescan Selection'. Restart the host once. On Windows, NAME.vst3 belongs in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\ - then rescan in your host. Still missing? Send a bug report with your host and system version.
12Is there a demo? What happens without a serial?
There is no time-limited demo. Every product page shows the full interface, the manual and audio or video examples. Without a serial the effect plugins (SPALL, GRUS, SCREE, CAIRN) pass your audio through unprocessed, and the instruments (DREAMS, PHONOLITH) stay silent; the interface stays fully usable, so you can look around. OSCILLATE DJ runs with two decks and four hotcues until it is unlocked. TARN, TALUS and OSCILLATE CUE are free and complete.
13What is in the bundle?
All six plugins: SPALL, GRUS, SCREE, CAIRN, DREAMS and PHONOLITH - $99 instead of $234 bought one by one. One payment, one serial per plugin in one email, everything downloads straight away, all future updates included. OSCILLATE DJ is not in the bundle (it is $69 on its own), and TARN, TALUS and OSCILLATE CUE are free anyway.
14Is PHONOLITH really free with OSCILLATE DJ?
Yes. Buy OSCILLATE DJ ($69) and PHONOLITH ($19 on its own) comes with it: its own serial (PHONOLITH-PRO-...) and download link are in the same purchase email. Install PHONOLITH, rescan plug-ins in Live, select the OSCILLATE_DJ Remote Script, then choose LIVE > INSTRUMENT > PHONOLITH in the console.
15What do the products cost, and is tax included?
SPALL, GRUS and SCREE $39 each; CAIRN and DREAMS $49 each; PHONOLITH $19; the bundle of all six plugins $99; OSCILLATE DJ $69. TARN, TALUS and OSCILLATE CUE are free for an email address. Prices are in US dollars before tax; VAT or sales tax for your country is added at checkout, where you see the total before you pay. Invoices come from our reseller Link (a Stripe company).
16How do I get the free devices?
TARN, TALUS and OSCILLATE CUE cost an email address: enter it on the product page, confirm it with one click in the email we send, and the download link arrives. You also get the Oscillate Audio newsletter, about once a week; every mail has a one-click unsubscribe, and the device stays yours. Nothing is held back - no serial, no expiry.
17My download link expired or the file will not open.
That is our mistake to fix, not a refund case. The current downloads are always under My licenses. If that does not help, write to [email protected] with your order number and we send a new link the same day.
18On how many computers can I use it?
On every computer you personally work on - Mac or Windows, studio, laptop, stage. One licence covers one person. The serial is tied to your email address and works offline.
