TALUS plays your chords the way two hands would.
Organic chords. Press one key for a full chord, or play your own — every note gets its own touch, timing and weight, and the chord rolls down like stones on a scree slope.
For producers and songwriters who write chords in Live and want them to sound played, not programmed — with or without any music theory. Not for tight, quantised stabs.
Every note is a stone

One key, a whole chord. In GENERATE, TALUS builds the chord of that key in your scale — three to ten voices, left and right hand, each finger lights up as it plays. In HUMANIZE it keeps your notes and only changes how they are played.

Turn on MOD, set a depth on any fader. Voices, spread, roll, octave, timing, velocity, lead, bass, ghost — each can wander slowly with the song or change on every chord. At 100 % a fader sweeps its whole range.

No theory needed. After every chord, five stones suggest where to go: HOME, LIFT, SAD, TENSE, TWIST. Click one to hear it on your own instrument — it shows the key that plays it.

Happy with it? One click. The last one, two, four or eight bars — exactly what came out, with all the movement and your automation — land as a new clip, and in the Arrangement at the bar you played them.
Played, not programmed
A pianist does not hit ten keys at once at the same strength. The top note comes a little earlier and louder, the bass carries weight, the fifth and doubled notes sit underneath as ghost notes, and the whole chord rolls. TALUS follows those rules note by note — and lets the touch drift from chord to chord the way a person drifts, instead of flickering at random.
Voice leading included. With FLOW up, each new chord takes the inversion closest to the last one, so the top line moves the way a player’s hand would, not in jumps.
Try itFive ideas after every chord
You do not need to know what a subdominant is. After every chord TALUS shows five stones, one for each feeling — back home, lifting, sad, pulling forward, or a little twist borrowed from the neighbouring key. The dots show how well each one fits after the chord you just played. Click to hear it through your own instrument, then press the key it shows. The suggestions follow the rules of functional harmony; they are a starting point, not a verdict.
Write it in, play it through, keep it
Put TALUS before any instrument. Play into it, or let a clip of stiff, drawn-in chords run through it. When it sounds right, press CAPTURE: the notes that came out land as a new clip in the first free slot — and, if the transport was running, in the Arrangement at the bar you played them. The clip you started from is never overwritten.

A serial, not a leash
The serial is a calculation over your email address, not a key on a server — so nothing has to be switched on for the device to run, and nothing can be switched off. The full rule, including why prices here never drop after launch, is on one page. Pricing policy
